Make decision....CHECK!!! :)

Hello all! So we have made a decision! We will be moving back to Winchester, VA later this month! We are both so very excited about this move. Aaron has found a way to do his classes online and through what they call J-terms. He will have to make a few trips back here to Cleveland, TN, during his school year; but we have wonderful friends to stay with while here. He is going to be working at Wilkins' ShoeCenter full time, while volunteering at the Church and going to school. We are so blessed to come home to a full time job, so be sure to go and visit him at Wilkins' at the end of the month!
I (Andrea) am going to be working in my new shop doing hair! I look forward to being available to my beautiful clients whenever they need me. I owe a huge THANK YOU to all of my clients that stuck with me through our time in TN. I know it was not easy, but it is soon over! I have come up with a name for my salon too, along with ordering business cards. I am looking forward to the growth of my salon and the many wonderful memories that are bound to flow from it.
My business is called "7 knots hair studio." After much debate and narrowing down, Aaron and I came up with this name after posing the question, "How can we incorporate Scripture into our business name?" As you know, Samson is the biblical character most known for his
beautiful hair. "7 knots" (or "7 locks") is used in Judges 16 to describe Samson's hair. God gave Samson a supernatural strength that was manifested through his hair. Likewise, I pray that everyone who passes through my studio will find renewed strength from God by means of this hair ministry. I pray that God will shine in every-way in my new place of business, and that His blessings will abound. I pray to be His servant, and that His love will shine through me in everything I say and do. I absolutely love what I do, and I thank God everyday for giving me the talent and knowledge to do hair. I am so excited about what lies ahead.
I am going to use and carry AG products. For those of you who already know about AG...I know you are excited!!! I LOVE AG!! :) For those of you who do not know about AG...please contact me, and I will get you set up for some outstanding hair!
We ask for you to partner with us in prayer at this particular time in our lives. We have some wonderful adventures ahead of us, and we need to be sure God is the center. Pray for us as we search for our house, as we begin our business, and as we learn more about Him through schooling. We appreciate and love each and every one of you. If you are in Cleveland, TN, we will miss you. If you are in Winchester, VA, we can't wait to be with you. If you are anywhere else in between, we love you and can't wait to see you again.

Thank you and Happy 2010!!

Decisions, Decisions...

Andrea and I are praying hard about returning to Winchester after this semester. If we are to return, I will take online courses through the Seminary, and Andrea will begin her Masters program at SU for elementary education. If we decide to remain here in Cleveland, I will continue at the Seminary, and Andrea will begin her Master of Arts in teaching at Lee University. You would think that a good church would be easy to find in Cleveland. Yes, there is a plethora of churches here, but none compare to the church we came from. It's extremely difficult to find a church as warming as the WinchesterCOG. Even when attending a church here and trying to get involved, our heart, passion, and love is in the Winchester church. As Andrea put it, "It's like trying to find a new family," and we love the one we already have in Winchester. Andrea and I really want to settle down in a community and in a church, and we know that we want to do that in Winchester. If we can continue to pursue our schooling in either location, plus have jobs, we would rather do it where we envision settling down. So please pray with us as we ask God to show us what He wants us to do and where He wants us to go. Thanks so much. We love you guys!

Thanksgiving

This year at Thanksgiving, we faced our first holiday-family dilemma: where are we going to go for Thanksgiving, and who are we going to spend it with? Luckily for us, both of our families live in Winchester! We were able to go to my grandparents' house to visit my side of the family until about 1, and eat with Andrea's side of the family at 2. It surprisingly worked out much more conveniently and smoothly than both of us had imagined. It was truly the best Thanksgiving I've ever had. It was like the best of both worlds. Being with my side of the family during the first part of the day was nuts. There were like 30 some odd people cramped in this little bitty country house, but it was fun to be in all the comotion. Being with Andrea's side of the family during the second half of the day was tons and tons of fun. We ate an incredibly delectable meal and played a fun couples' boardgame the rest of the evening. Andrea and I actually did very well competing agains Jennifer and Jeremy and Darrell and Pauline seeing as how they've all been married for quite some time, and we've only known each other since late spring. It was so much fun, and I wouldn't have traded our Thanksgiving for the world!

Our Fall Plans

I'm very happy to inform you all that Andrea and I have made a very important decision together, and we are super excited about it! We have decided to attend Church of God Theological Seminary (Cleveland, TN) in the fall to further our education. Andrea and I actually completed our undergrads in the general area of Cleveland (she at Lee and I at Temple), so we know the area pretty well. We will be moving there and looking to start classes about 3 months after our May wedding. As a family, we will be juggling school and work, but feel that God will provide since He has called us there. Andrea and I are gearing up to take on this crazy-awesome adventure that God has set before us, and we can't wait to get started!

It's crazy to see how God works in our lives. Andrea has been the most incredible blessing God has ever given me. It's awesome to think that He not only created her just for me, but even for every little detail of my life. Thinking back on Tom Cruise's most famous line, "You complete me," Andrea does so much more than that. She compliments my strengths; she shines through my weaknesses; she encourages me through my struggles; she lifts me above my fears; she carries me through my failures; she walks me through my valleys; she is excited for my excitement; she listens to my crazy goals; she pushes me toward my dreams; she supports me with her spirit; and she protects me with her prayers. If God had said to me, "Aaron, dream up the perfect girl, and I'll make her just for you," my dreams would have fallen embarrassingly short of the Andrea that God has given to me. It's like He knew my needs and surpassed them unimaginably when He created Andrea. I am so in love with her, and I cannot wait to marry her.

181 Days until we get married!!! :)

Hello to all!!! Aaron and I are so excited to be able to keep everyone posted via blogspot! We are getting so so excited about our future and the things to come. We are 3 days away from Aaron's birthday (Wed.) and 4 days away from him coming home for thanksgiving!!! He will be home for a week and 1/2 and then only one more week at school until he is home for good!!

We are looking forward to the holidays together and being introduced to new family traditions. We will spend half the day with his family on thanksgiving and the other half with my family, hopefully one year we will be able to combine our families and share the holidays together.

Our second little nephew will then be born!! We cannot wait to meet him! I wonder what color hair and eyes he will have and what his personality will be like. Will he be like his big brother? We cannot WAIT to find out!! Hurry and get here little man.

Christmas will then follow quickly and we are enjoying shopping for everyone together and learning everyone's style and taste. :)

Then comes two weddings in February and a trip to Disney World!!! Aaron nor I have ever been to Disney World and are so excited to be able to share that wonderful experience together! Thanks to our parents for allowing this trip to happen :)

After that it is planning, planning, planning for the wedding!!!

May 16, 2009 is the day we join our hearts together. Praise God for His unfailing love and grace. Aaron and I truly give God the credit for our meeting. His timing was perfect and His plan is Great. We are so excited about our lives together in Him. We cannot wait to live in unity and fulfill God's calling on our lives.

This is a little overview of the next six months we will spend together waiting to become Mr. and Mrs. Brewer. There will be more updates to follow!

Love you All,

Andrea :)
